Hi Apple community, I am writing this regarding device based activation lock can enable on device which is in 30 days DEP provisional period. Within the DEP provisional period, I can remove the remote management on my device. So the device is considered to use as my personal device ,not organization owned. Since MDM device based activation lock can enable during this provisional period, The device no longer be referred to use as my personal device also . what is the use of that 30 days? Kindly educate us on this case to whether this an intended options or a bug. Thanks in Advance

Hi Support I have wiped the machine and reinstalled Ventura on the device however I cannot get the screen to show up to add this device to ABM. I am doing this on the country/region section before connecting to WIFI etc. I have already added a few other devices today. They were newer MBP 2020 and 2022 devices with no issues. I am using a iPhone 8 with apple configurator app to do this but everything I try I can not get the device to scan. Any suggestions?

But there are some points that seem to be missing or maybe I haven't found them yet. First: There seems to be no mentions about the endpoints. I mean, where should I send the requests to? What's the url for this? Second: Related to the first point: How do I authenticate my requests? Where can I create an auth token for this? Would be great if somebody could give me some hints! Hello, while I can install VPP app on idevice with Apple Configurator, I can not find a way to do the same thing via cfgutil. Apple configurator registers device's serial number and installs app. While cfgutil only installs app and do not registers serial number. Does cfgutil support installing VPP apps?

In DEP enrolled devices, even activation lock enabled, device reset cannot be restricted, After reset only it asking Managed Apple Id credentials. In our case even activation lock enabled, if device is in 30 days provisional period of ABM, it can reset and removed from MDM, It is better to ask Managed Apple ID or Bypass activation lock code before reset the device.

We are facing issues regarding the 30 days provisional period. Within the period user can leave MDM or Anyone having the device can remove MDM profile and enroll their own MDM , possibly. In that case It might be a bug. As a MDM vendor, We are asked to restrict this MDM removal from client within this provisional period. As far We checked, there is no proper solution for restrict the removal. We are in need to hold the devices for this provisional period, then release the devices to users. Please explain what is the need of 30days provisional period for ABM, if removed, it will be helpful.

Is there any documentation on where exactly region restrictions are defined/applied when doing User Enrollment (with Managed Apple IDs from ABM) for BYOD devices? In our case, it seems like it is not possible to enroll a user profile with Managed Apple ID from .dk ABM account to any device that is outside Denmark. There are no issues enrolling devices bought in Denmark and currently in Denmark. In all other cases profile installation fails with "Profile could not be installed". Changing region on the device has no effect as well. There are no mentions of such restrictions both in User Enrollment nor ABM documentation.

Steps to replicate Issue: IT Admin has deployed "Appian for Intune" iOS app https://apps.apple.com/us/app/appian-for-intune/id1573771379 to their Microsoft Intune MDM environment through Apple Business Manager using Volume Purchase Program. The IT admin is trying to update the group assignment of this app using below steps: Login to Intune Portal (https://endpoint.microsoft.com/) Go to Apps --> All Apps Search for "Appian for Intune" --> Open app --> Go to Properties Edit Group assignment and try to change the License Type Issue: IT Admin is not able to change License Type during group assignment in the Microsoft Intune console. By default Device licensing type is selected and User Licensing is disabled. IT admin wants to use User Licensing as License Type Please find the attached screenshot. As per IT admin, this issue is only happening for Appian for Intune iOS app. And other iOS apps purchased through Apple Business Manager works fine. Ask: Why is this issue happening ? Do we need to change something in Appian for Intune iOS app.? Is it related to the custom EULA license associated with this app on app store connect ? If I sign up for the Apple Developer program am I also eligible for an Apple Business Manager account? The current ABM enrollment process requires an organization with a DUNS number, which is currently a roadblock for me.

Hi , We have a app that we want to push on the device as quickly as its connected with the mac machine. We have Apple Business account for this purpose and we are using the Apple Configurator to push the app on the connected device which is associated with our Apple business account. But this process is manual. But we want this process automatic. once device connected with machine app will push into the device without user interaction. But we are not able to achieve this task. Is it necessary to have Supervised device to use blockedAppBundleIDs parameter in MDM - Restrictions Payload? Documentation says device can be made Supervised only through DEP, and DEP or ABM is mainly for organizations or schools not for individuals, I'm developing an application related to parent control where I might have to use blockedAppBundleIDs in the restrictions payload, but it requires supervised device. Is there any way we can do DEP through OTA for individual, old devices ? Any suggestion here ?

After receiving mails from Apple for missing user info and warnings that our account will be locked - we have sent more than 10 mails that ether the button was missing or either after clicking on it, the next pop-up doesn't work! We tested it in 4 browsers and the result is the same. And after all the mails from us -- Apple still blocked our account and removed our apps! Here is video of the case https://youtu.be/uaOohuEIqds

Hey everyone, Please forgive my ignorance. I worked with a guy years ago to develop an app, but due to his lack of interest, he sold the thing to me and I haven't touched it since. I'm finally ready to update it and take the thing seriously... but I have no idea how to access it! I just renewed the developer program membership after two days it gets expired and I completed the transaction, Transaction was successful But my account has not to get renewed yet. I didn't get a proper reply from Apple support. Anyone, please help me with how to solve this. my application has more than 10k downloads and the users are now not able to download or update it.

Hello, in App Store Connect it appears that it is possible to convert a public app that is currently in the App Store to a private app that is only available to authorized users through Apple Business Manager and Apple School Manager. My quests are: Is this truly possible? After the app is converted, will existing users be able to continue to receive updates or reinstall the app? Hopefully, someone has done this and knows the answers. Thanks!
