My MacBook Air M2 system version macOS Sonoma 14.5 Beta (23F5049f) The error occurred: from the end of March 2024 to today (April 8, 24) Problem: The system positioning information is seriously wrong, including but not limited to: time zone, Safari, map app, weather app, search app... (PS. The positioning is correct when using Google Chrome and Google Maps, but it is still wrong when using Google Maps on Safari) Background: I came to Germany from mainland China at the end of March. The Apple ID region I use is Germany. The location of my iPhone and Apple Watch can be refreshed to Germany normally, and several of my AirTags have been refreshed to Germany. Tried but failed: I searched for some bash commands to try to clear and clear the cache of the map app and system location information. rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Maps rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.findmy sudo rm -rf /Library/Caches/com.apple.GeoServices sudo rm -rf /Library/Caches/com.apple.locationd defaults delete com.apple.locationd.plist Turn off location services in System Settings > Privacy and Security, shut down and restart the phone, and then turn the service back on. Turn my VPN on and off. Clear my network information. Since there are many files saved, the restore operation is not planned. rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Maps rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.findmy sudo rm -rf /Library/Caches/com.apple.GeoServices sudo rm -rf /Library/Caches/com.apple.locationd defaults delete com.apple.locationd.plist 关闭系统设置>隐私与安全中的定位服务,关机重启,再重开这项服务。 开关我的VPN。 清除我的网路信息。 由于保存的文件较多,不打算进行还原操作。

We have noticed that iPhones using iOS17.x are not contributing to Apple's FindMy network anymore. These devices usually send report packages to Apple's server about devices they "see" around them (BLE). The problem / bug is HARD to find, because there are still lots of iPhones with iOS16.x out. But more and more of them get switched off or updated: the FindMy network getting weaker and weaker every day! Here is how to recreate the issue: This procedure needs to be done in a "remote" environment, no other Apple iPhones or iPads being in bluetooth distance! Get an iPhone with iOS16.x installed, enable bluetooth, ensure internet access. Get an AirTag registered to someone else, she / he being away at least 200 m (the AirTag must be in "lost" mode). She / he watching his phone (FindMy) having internet. Get an iPhone with iOS17.x installed, disable bluetooth, ensure internet access. Put both phones right beside the friends AirTag. Let your friend WhatsApp you whenever the status of his AirTag gets updated. This will happen every couple of minutes. Turn off bluetooth on iOS16, turn on bluetooth on iOS17. You will no longer get messages from your friend because the status of his AirTag will not update. For hours. For days. Until you enable bluetooth on your iOS16 phone again. Conclusion: iOS17.x don't not send report packages at all or report packages from iOS17.x devices are not stored correctly on server or server does not send out reports originating from iOS17.x when requested by FindMy app If you can recreate this SERIOUS problem, PLEASE file a bug report to Apple. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Hey, I've been trying to find information but haven't had any luck so far. I own two third party bluetooth trackers (not AirTags), which I've linked to Find My. Recently, I misplaced an item that had one of these trackers attached. Surprisingly, even though I was quite far away, I was still receiving updates on its location a couple hours after I lost it. I'm curious to know, does connecting a third party bluetooth tracker to Find My function in the same way as AirTags? Are there any specific documents or resources where I can learn more about this? I'm really interested in understanding how it works.

Hi, I'm a college student in Hangzhou, China. I want to learn and develop with Find My Network and other useful Apple's tech. But when I access the application website, I can't find the university entrance but only with company. Can I develop as a college student? Where can I be? Or in the same page, what's the DUNS numbers? If only corps can, what's the fee to get the DUNS numbers with Apple's support? What's the fee to join in Apple Developments? Should I offer some documents such as Bank Corporate Account Statement? If I create a new corp to join in the development, what should I or corp need and do? I just wanna develop a school ID card with UWB tech and Apple's useful Find My Network. Hope to get your's help. Have a good day. Thanks!

This has been happening from 14.0 DB4 and has continued up to 14.2 DB1. Occurring on M2 MBA 13 and M2 MBP 16. The principle thing I noticed was searchpartyd running a bit more than one would expect. I understand this is a FindMy daemon. For context, it does a low level 2-5% CPU constantly, and is the number 3 ranked CPU Time process on both machines. In the launchd console log the following errors appear on continuous repeat: 2023-10-28 12:36:49.662855 (gui/501 [100017]) : denied lookup: name = com.apple.contactsd.persistence, requestor = Family[6697], error = 159: Sandbox restriction 2023-10-28 12:36:49.757132 : Last log repeated 1 times 2023-10-28 12:36:49.757107 (gui/501 [100017]) : denied lookup: name = com.apple.contactsd.persistence, requestor = searchpartyuser[6696], error = 159: Sandbox restriction 2023-10-28 12:36:51.307002 : Last log repeated 1 times 2023-10-28 12:36:51.306944 (gui/501 [100017]) : denied lookup: name = com.apple.contactsd.persistence, requestor = imagent[702], error = 159: Sandbox restriction For context: I do not have Family Sharing set up.

I'm having an issue with Sonoma beta 4. It's been present in all of the Sonoma betas thus far, but it seems to be getting worse. The "searchpartyd" process keeps spinning up and taking an enormous amount of CPU and energy. This happens while on battery and also on power. I've collected spindumps and all the data I can and filed a bug report with Apple. So far, no response. Has anyone else experienced this? In console.log, I see that it is complaining quite vividly about "BeaconStoreActor" issues: No BeaconStoreActor available! Unable to get BeaconStoreActor! I suspect it is an issue with FindMy and possibly an AirTag, but there's quite little to go on.

iOS 17 and Apple TV 17 together are supposed to support a Find button under your selected remote in the Apple TV Remote Control Panel. At least this is what I read but the button is missing. I only installed the v17 beta on both as is the latest one available. I wonder if is just missing in beta. I hope is available soon because I still cannot find find my remote!

Hi everyone, I have an old iPad 2 which I want to reset but it has the "find my iPad" turned on; the problem is that if I try to insert the id apple password, it gives me a connection error. The device is connected to the internet, I tried the browser and it works. I even tried to reset the iPad using the Mac, but it requires the iCloud password on the device... I turned off "find my iPad" on the iCloud website, but in order to be effective, the ipad needs to logging in on iCloud and I can't do it. Are there other ways to achieve the reset? Thank you so much

Hi, I lauched my Find My app today and found every devices i (or my family) use but there was an unknown one, a macbook pro located the other side of the country in a city i never went to. This device doesn't appear in the list on devices on which my apple account is signed in, only in the Find My app Apple support reassure me, it's not on my logged in devices list so my credentials hadn't be stollen, it seams to be a problem with the iOs 17 beta Configurations : Sonoma bêta 14.0 (23A5286i) on my macbook iOS 17.0 (21A5277j) on my iPhone 11
