Has anyone figured out how to use the "bump" gesture for airdrop or shareplay?

According to the keynote:

"And we're also using this same gesture to make it easier than ever to AirDrop content, and even kick off shared experiences"

also in this wwdc session https://developer.apple.com/wwdc23/10239 06:58, it showed that you can start a shareplay session by just bumping.

There's no mention of this in the API, how does one do this?

  • I have the same question. Would love to see the documentation on this API.

Beta 2 added the bump gesture for system apps, but still not seeing any documentation.

On Xcode Beta 5, I haven't figured out how to make it work yet either.

  • Figured it out! It has to with the Transferable Protocol and using ShareLink in the View, SwiftUI will automatically pick it up during the bump gesture.

As usual, pathetic documentation on Apple's part.
