Sluggish Indexing and Spotlight - Sonoma 14.2.1 on Mac Pro 7.1

Is anyone experiencing super slow finder functions related to Indexing and Spotlight? Folder hierarchy access is extremely slow. Does Sonoma 14.3.x address any of these issues? Workflow is hampered with this OS and creating productivity limitations which are not acceptable. Please advise. Thank you.
