On iPhone/Apple Watch Restart

On android there is a way for my app to know when the device has been restarted or powered up after a restart or powering off. I wonder if there is a way to listen for the restart/power up even on the iphone and the Apple Watch?

It depends on exactly what your requirements are:

  • If you want to know whether the device has been restarted since your app was last launched, you can use the technique described in this post.

  • OTOHO, if you want to be actively notified before or after the restart, there isn’t a good way to do that.
