Enable app services

App services can be enabled on a per-app basis and require a client-to-server connection for authorization. These services usually don’t require an entitlement to be issued in your provisioning profiles, but do require additional configuration in Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles.

Required role: Account Holder or Admin.

Enable an app service

  1. In Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, click Identifiers in the sidebar.

  2. Select the App ID you want to update.

  3. Click the App Services tab below the Description field.

  4. Select the app services you want to enable.

  5. Click Save. If a warning dialog appears, click Confirm to finalize your changes.

Note: Some app services require additional steps, such as creating a Media Services key.
