What I'm trying to understand is if pre-registered users in regions where the app isn't made available for release immediately would get a notification later when the app is made available for them. Specifically: Turn off availability in all countries except Canada (so it's not searchable/available anywhere except Canada) Release the app (pre-order -> available for download) -- so that Canadian users get the app. Go back in and turn on availability for other countries when ready -- so that pre-ordered users elsewhere get the notification and it automatically downloads for them. The main Q is: would pre-ordered users in other countries receive the notification and have the app download on their phones when it's available/released in that country, if it isn't made available immediately at release?

Hey fellow developers! I'm having some trouble with my tanning app submission to the Apple App Store. The review team sent me a rejection notice, stating that my app has incomplete information. I've double-checked my app's metadata, including the description, screenshots, and app icon. Everything seems to be in place. Could you please share any insights or tips on what specific areas I should look into to ensure my tanning app meets all the necessary requirements for submission? Thanks in advance! 🌞 #AppStoreSubmission #TanningAppDevelopment"

We noticed that your app includes or accesses paid digital content, services, or functionality by means other than in-app purchase, which is not appropriate for the App Store. Specifically: Your app accesses digital content purchased outside the app, such as Videos, recorded content, documents but that content isn’t available to purchase using in-app purchase. Apps that offer paid digital services and content across multiple platforms may allow customers to access the content they acquired outside the app as long as it is also available for purchase using in-app purchase. See Guideline 3.1.3(b) Multiplatform Services for more information. Our application was approved, but now, when we submit our 9th update, they reject the app for this specific reason. we have the community app where we are charging the membership fees, but this is not for the content. Members are paying fees to events we are making, access to groups etc. In the app where we are publishing session recording for people who were not able to check in person. to me, this is the same as for the Fitness app where people are paying for access to facilities and have access to free lessons or for any EDU apps. adding in-app purchases meaning that Apple wants us to charge an extra 30% for the yearly membership just because of the videos and that we are not even selling Did anyone had similar experience?

When I click the Add for Review button, the progress indicator spins for a bit then goes away. There is no error message and nothing appears to have changed. The status still shows as 'Prepare for Submission.' This is an existing app that already has a current build in the app store and the changes made in this version are pretty small. Anyone have any ideas what could be happening? Thanks

Hello, I recently received a rejection submitting an app because of a crash on iPad13,16. I have tested the app with xcrun simctl on the following device iPad model: iPad Air (5th generation) (27BB2DC4-D599-4EF8-96A9-7E527337F95D) and I am not able to reproduce the crash. In order to proceed fixing the issue, I would like to symbolicate the crash files sent by the validation team. The thing is, the app has been created with React Native on VS Code, thus, I am not able to import it on XCode to proceed to the crash file symbolication nor to generate the dSYM file in order to use the atos command line tool. I would like to know if you have any suggestion so I can move on fixing the crash and publish the app as soon as possible please? Thank you crashlog-DFBDCF7C-6849-474B-B0A6-F16D182FBAA3.txt

It is in the iPhone App Store of Australia, Canada, Germany, France,... Recently, The Spam applications have been growing in the App Store and these apps are using fake activities to upgrade the rank of their apps in the App Store. They have a trick to deceive the App Store for accepting their spam and duplicated apps. The trick is that these scammers design their app only for iPhone and only in a specific language and then request to release the app in that specific country. They had find this leak to deceive the App store in order to have their spam apps to be accepted in the Appstore for publishing, They know very well that the App store accepts their spam apps, because the app store mainly accepts apps in a certain language, no matter if they are duplicate or spam apps, the App Store will accept. This is the leak. Please be notified that this trick is working just for iPhone apps. After a while, They add new languages and ask to be published in the App Store of different countries by adding different languages to the app, One by one, and then with the help of too many bot downloads and posting fake high rates and reviews, Their apps will be the first ranked suggested app in important and popular keywords, Even without paying for Search Ads or so. This is quite evident in the stores of Canada, Australia and Germany, Kindly please search the keyword “PDF editor” in the store of Canada And check the activity of thi app : https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pdf-converter-pdf-viewer/id6449454399 This is a new app, With no feedback from the users, But this is the first app ranked in the keyword “PDF Editor” in the Canada App Store, This is happening just by using bots to make too many downloads on this keyword for this app, If you check it deeply, You will find out most of the parts of this app is not available in English yet while they add English Language like Payment forms. These are other apps who are using this method to publish their apps and making their apps high ranked in important keywords by using the described fake activities, https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pdf-editor-sign-fill-more/id6447789797 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pdf-editor-sign-fill-docs/id6452676035 https://apps.apple.com/us/app/edit-fill-pdf-sign-docs/id6449665066 You should consider that affecting the App store algorithms are against the App store guidelines, and these apps are exactly doing this and all these activities are against App Store guidelines, So you should take this report seriously. This leak has been in the App Store for a long time and I reported before many times but it seems it is not clearing deeply.

Hello, I'm getting the title's error for the first time. I'm using expo for my React Native build and I have only added these libraries to my build: "react-native-md5": "^1.0.0", "moment-timezone": "^0.5.43" How are these changes connected to the error? These are my system specs: XCode version 14.2 (14C18) MacOS version 12.6.7 (21G651)

Hello everyone, I am trying to publish an augmented reality app into app store. I have prepared physical book and the app is used to scan some pages of that book and view some of the images in 3D. The app was rejected with "apps cannot require users to purchase unrelated products or engage in advertising or marketing activities to unlock app functionality" because image markers (my book) needed for it. Should I add in-app purchase to buy the book(it is free at the moment). I have seen toys being operated with apps. Just trying to understand how they would solve this issue because similar to my case the toy needs to be bought/obtained separately. Thank you.

Hi All, We have an legacy mobile app which has not been worked on by developers for a year or so. Currently, we have a requirement to make code changes to add logging to this mobile app. It is using titanium. When we try to built the app using 13.2 for local/developer testing purpose it is working as expected but doesn't work the same in Xcode 14.x versions. I saw an article mentioning that from April 2023, AppStore/TestFlight builds must be built on 14.x version of XCode, so what are my chances of getting the mobile app to Store/TestFlight if the mobile app is built on XCode 13.x version. will the build be rejected by App Store Review team?

I'm posting a message here to know if I'm the only one who's experienced this, and if there is any solution to this issue. I've already contacted Apple via e-mail and haven't received an answer yet. I have one game released on the App Store, and wanted to release a new one. I submitted a first version of the app, which got approved on the first try. I didn't release it, and instead added for review another debug version. This new version got accepted too, I clicked on the "Release" button on the Connect mobile app, and somehow it said "Developer Removed From Sale". I thought it was my mistake, so I submitted the same version again to Apple explaining the situation. This time I set the app to "automatically release", so that I don't make the same mistake. I received the email saying "Congratulations! Your submission was accepted for release on the App Store.", and before I can even log in, I receive another e-mail saying "The status of your app has changed to Developer Removed from Sale.". I don't understand why? I haven't even logged in, and the app was set to "automatically release". Thinking it's an error from the App Connect team, I've resubmitted a build again... Same thing happened. Got approved, immediately changed status to "Developer Removed From Sale". TL;DR, Apple approved my app submission (that was set to "Automatically release"), but immediately changed status to "Developer Removed From Sale". Has anyone experienced the same thing lately? Any solution? PS: I have already contacted Apple and haven't received an answer from them.

Hi, I'm trying to submit the first version of my app to the app store but it keeps getting rejected citing the 4.2.2 guideline: We noticed that your app only includes links, images, or content aggregated from the Internet with limited or no native iOS functionality. Although this content may be curated from the web specifically for your users, since it does not sufficiently differ from a mobile web browsing experience, it is not appropriate for the App Store. This is simply not the case. The app has 3 main features: Input feeds where users can choose between 3 different types of sources Websites (rss feeds) Youtube channels Users (other users's output feeds on the platform) Output feeds where users can create posts (text and image) Library (where users can save and search content for later reference) Supporting these, there are other functionalities like managing the input & output feeds, managing the library folders, accepting or rejecting follow requests, managing the profile, etc.. The output feeds clearly satisfy the requirement as they are not links, images or content aggregated from the internet but provide the functionality to create content in the app itself. Furthermore users can comment and like on the output feed posts. The app uses multiple iOS native functionalities like: Lazy stacks to optimize performance Caching Navigation Tab bar Photo picker Push notifications and yet it keeps getting rejected and the screenshots provided are only from the input feeds without reference to the output feeds - posts, comments (the social features in the app) Any suggestions how to proceed?

After using the developer console without issues for quite a while now, I'm suddenly unable to submit an update to one of my games because App Store Connect thinks it is missing the Game Center entitlement. It gives the following message when trying to submit the update for review: You must add the com.apple.developer.game-center key in Xcode. The first submission I tried to make was indeed missing the capability somehow - I went back and fix this with another build, but the error remains still. I have added the Game Center capability and my entitlements file has the following lines: <key>com.apple.developer.game-center</key> <true/> I did find this StackOverflow post describing the exact same issues from fairly recently - 14 hours ago as of the time of writing - so I'm wondering if this is a bug. Wondering if anyone has encountered this and if there is a workaround.

My App has beed rejected multiple times for not complying with the Criminal Activity Reporting Guideline 1.7. Essentially, I have to provide a documentation showing partnership with local law enforcement (where ever the app is used). The App, SafeSpot, gives users near real time crime data at their geo but also enables users to "tag" or post a crime they witnessed so other users can stay away. Here's the response i got: Specifically, it is unclear if you have partnered with local law enforcement to respond to the reports of alleged criminal activity. To provide users a safe and reliable experience, apps may only be used to report criminal activity in locations where you have the active involvement of local law enforcement. Next Steps To ensure that your app is partnering with the appropriate institutions, you must provide documentation or evidence of your relationship with local law enforcement wherever your app is distributed. Please attach the documentation. Documentation?? I need examples. Do i go to my local police station :)

Hello. I'm searching developer center docs. But I didn't find hardware specification when submitting a application to app store. Can I know the minimum & recommended hardware specification? The developer docs only say to build using the latest API. Or, is the hardware specification not important? Do I just need to build with the latest API?

Our app's main purpose is to allow users to upgrade their accounts and become analysts. After becoming an analyst, users can create their subscription plans for other users. Another user can then subscribe to their plan, gaining access to all the signals and tips posted by the analyst. This way, analysts can earn money. So, my question is, for upgrading a normal user to an analyst, should I use in-app purchases or a third-party payment gateway? When the analyst creates their plan and users can pay to subscribe to the analyst's plan, should I use in-app purchases or a third-party payment gateway? As I've checked other similar apps for my app scenario, a third-party payment gateway seems suitable because in our case, we are not unlocking any functionality. Users are paying the analyst for their service. Please help me decide what I should do so that Apple approves my app on the first attempt."

Hi, I'm deploying my app to the store for the last several year. I have a Watch app. No matter what I do, I get the next warning above my version information screen for each new build: You’re currently using Apple Watch Series 3 screenshots for your latest watch build. Adding screenshots for the newest devices can help you accurately represent your app’s user experience on the App Store Although I take the screenshots on a real Watch series 9. Does anyone know how I solve it?

Now receiving the following warning in Xcode when uploading app, and corresponding email. The app is unlikely to be released for Vision Pro. Is there any flag I've missed that can be added to the app to silence this (blacklist the device type), bearing in mind this app is not compiled with the Xcode Beta that supports Vision Pro. Failing that, can anyone suggest who to reach out to at Apple to request a solution? I realise this is only a warning, but it's an unwanted distraction. Dear Developer, We identified one or more issues with a recent delivery for your app, "Cape Physio" 0.52 (7). Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery: ITMS-90984: Apple Vision Pro support issue - The app contains the following UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities values, which aren’t supported on Apple Vision Pro. [accelerometer, gyroscope] After you’ve corrected the issues, you can upload a new binary to App Store Connect. Best regards, The App Store Team

Hi community, I have a question regarding the data protection URL which I provide when publishing apps in the AppStore Connect and maybe someone already stumbled on that one. My challenge is that we migrate our website and for technical reasons the URL we provide will need to be replaced with a permanent redirect (301). Does the store support this and follow the re-direct when checking it regularly? Or will my app go offline then? Would be nice to know before taking the risk :-) Thx in advance, Sebastian

What the title says. I submitted my IOS app, received approval, however, it is still in processing 36+ hours later (post approval). I contacted Apple Developer support and no one was able to help. What can I do? I have a demo later today, and really need the app to be available on the store. I'm desperate! Any advice is very much appreciated!
