App Analytics Metrics - Difference between First time downloads and Installations

Hi, I'm trying to find the number of new installations for my app. "First time downloads" returns a much higher number than "Installations"

Installations metrics depend on the number of users who agreed to share data with you, whereas the first time downloads has no such constraints so you should refer to the first time downloads in my opinion (source: https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/view-app-analytics/view-app-metrics)
