I am really stuck. I uploaded my Mac Catalyst app. The binary passes validation beforehand. I submit for review. After being in "waiting for review" for a couple of minutes it is rejected with "invalid binary" and comes back with an email saying "ITMS-90053: This bundle is invalid - The bundle identifier is already in use by a different software package." The only app that is using the same bundle is the IOS version where I added the Mac platform.

I know apple updated their policy related to sign in (see https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=f1v8pyay, "More flexibility for sign in options in apps" section), but the wording of the guidelines (https://developer.apple.com/app-store/review/guidelines/#login-services) is a bit difficult to understand: Apps that use a third-party or social login service (such as Facebook Login, Google Sign-In, Sign in with Twitter, Sign In with LinkedIn, Login with Amazon, or WeChat Login) to set up or authenticate the user’s primary account with the app must also offer as an equivalent option another login service with the following features: the login service limits data collection to the user’s name and email address; the login service allows users to keep their email address private as part of setting up their account; and the login service does not collect interactions with your app for advertising purposes without consent. As far as I can tell, FB, Google, Amazon, etc. do not offer these protections. Would Apple Sign In still be required in this case?

I want to distribute my app as unlisted, review team also recommends me this. 12th of April I submitted the request and got bot mail about awaiting maximum of 3 business days. I has been carrying about this all this time, so that submitted another one request yesterday. Review team always replies very fast in hours, but apple support which is processing my request confuses me. Is here somebody with same trouble or how much time have you been awaiting for feedback? P.S.: I can wait, but I don't see any progress and afraid of non-processing of my request because there was notification about max 3 days of awaiting, but at least a week has been gone.

My app is only available in some regions. During one of the review versions, the reviewer asked to remove accessibility from one of the countries or provide documents that allow to conduct activities in this country. At that time, there was no such document and I removed the availability in this country. Now - I have a document that confirms that I can conduct activities in this country. Availability is a separate section and is not related to versioning. How and where do I request app availability in a specific country?

Hello. I've tried a dozen times to upload my app, each time getting a response that the app was rejected due to 4.1 copycats. The most recent response: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats. This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. On my requests to clarify what exactly was identified as copycats, no specifics were given to me. Because of this I conclude that it is not about some stock images or sound assets, but that it is specifically about my application (name and icon). I am the solo developer of the app and it has been available for 5 years on Google Play. No other platforms have my app on them, only Google Play. Since Apple has not provided me with specifics about what they need as proof of rights to the app, I have screen recorded my personal Google Play Developer Console account, which proves that I have all the necessary rights to manage my app on Google Play. To this I received the following response: Guideline 4.1 - Design - Copycats This app or its metadata appears to be misrepresenting itself as another popular app or game already available on the App Store, from a developer's website or distribution source, or from a third-party platform. Apps should be unique and should not attempt to deceive users into thinking they are downloading something they are not. We did not receive sufficient documentation. Please help me understand what documentation they are talking about if I am a solo developer with every right to my own app. Do they want me to register a company and register the naming rights to my app?

Need help as the the option to "make a version unavailable for download" is broken. 1- Go to the app store and select your app 2- On the left menu scroll down and click on "pricing and availability" 3- Scroll to the bottom to "Edit your last-compatible version for iOS apps" and expand the section 4- Click on the app versions 5- On the new pop-up window un-check the boxes for the versions you need to remove and click done. HERE IT IS BROKEN.

Hi, Can we install and use a XCode 15.2 on a MacBook Pro 13in 2017. On the Mac, the OS version stop at Ventura 13.6.6 and the installed XCode require Sonoma 14++ to install. But on the doc, this is written that works with macOS Ventura 13.5 or later : https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode-release-notes/xcode-15-release-notes Best regards.

I have a question for fellow developers from non-English speaking countries who had successfully submitted the DSA form as traders on App Store Connect specifying a PO box as address. I've read somewhere (likely on Mastodon) that Apple requires the PO box documentation to be "officially" translated in English to accept it. I am 100% positive this is not something I would be able to get from Italian Posts, because the contract will only be in Italian. How did you handle this? Were you able to submit the PO box documentation in your own language?

Using a third-party service I can see the list of keywords that are associated with my app. They are all wrong. It appears that the app store algorithm for selecting keywords has picked up variations of the company name in its keyword selection instead of using the keyword field, app name, and app description to define such keywords. For example, our Word Game from Wireless Marvels, has a keyword of Marvels. And Marvels caused Star Wars to be selected as a keyword from Marvel Studios. Of course, Star Wars has nothing to do with a word game. How can one request that the app store re-evaluate the store description and other fields to generate a new set of keywords?

When I try to upload to apple store connect from XCODE, I get the following error. "Asset validation failed The app contains one or more corrupted binaries. Rebuild the app and resubmit. (ID: 6e5d5fe8-9050-4574-8ad0-b46c64fda42d) (10)" This error started appearing suddenly today. It had never appeared before. I get the same error when I try to re-upload other app builds that I was able to upload before. "Asset validation failed (10)" error code does not show up at all when I search google. I have tried restarting the MAC, clean build of XCODE, etc., but to no avail. Can someone please help me? plz (My environment is XCODE14.3.1)

We have the system for which we want to create an iOS app. It is book app and we are not sure if that system of purchase will be approved from Apple Store review team. App is a multi-platform (Windows, Android, and macOS outside the Apple Store) and people currently buy license codes that unlock the full data. They buy it from the main website and from independent resellers. Because the app is multi-platform, according to 3.1.3.b (Apple in-App purchase), the iOS version allows users to access the content that they bought for other platforms (Windows, Android, macOS). This is done by giving the option to enter the license code in the EE9 registration sheet in the app. The iOS app however does NOT let you buy license codes elsewhere, and does not tell users where to buy them. People can only enter the code if they already have it, and no additional information is given on where and how to buy that outside if in-app. If you don't already have a license code, the only way to buy it is to use in-app purchases. After a successful in-app purchase, the iOS app uses the in-app purchase system to give full data access to the user, but at the same time it also generates a license code that the user can use in the Windows or Android or macOS versions to get the full data there as well. (After a successful purchase the iOS app uses an API on our backend server, sending it the in-app purchase code, and the backend server "trusts" the iOS app and returns a license code to the app. The app shows the code to the user, and the user can use it on Windows, Android, etc.. If the iOS app is uninstalled and installed again, the system will still work, because our server has associated the in-app purchase code with the app proprietary code system, so whenever required, our server will return the same license code associated to the same in-app purchase code. In summary, the iOS app allows license owners from other platform to use their code in the iOS app as well, but new users can only buy the license via in-app purchase. And when users buy the license from Apple, they can use it on all other platform as well. The end result is that the same license code will give you full access on all platforms, regardless of which platform you originally bought the code for.

So I haven't recorded a purchase in 7 hours via RevenueCat which is unusual, and I was curious as to what was going on... so I open my App Store Connect tonight and I see the following: $12.7 MILLION in proceeds over the last 4 hours (would usually expect maybe $200 at most at this time of day on a Thursday at 1AM EST?). 1 DOWNLOAD in the last 4 hours (would usually expect maybe 60+ since I'm running Apple Search Ads as well). App Store seems to function fine and downloading my apps works fine. I'm obviously assuming there is a bug here in the reporting tonight. My concern is that my actual purchases aren't coming through and being counted properly within RevenueCat and Apple. Or that something is preventing purchases currently. Anyone else seeing this tonight?

I am submitting my app, which is related to events. I need to ask for DOB on my sign up page because there are some events that are 18+ or 21+, but apple keeps rejecting my app because I'm asking for a birthday. How do I get past this, doesn't every app ask for a birthday on sign up page to get an idea of who uses their app? Please help, thanks!

I have submitted my app twice, with specific documentation showcasing the termination of agreement of the original release of my game via a publisher two years ago. The original released was removed from the App Store over a year ago and the publishers App Dev account closed. I have now finally readied my game to be published by myself on the App store but keep getting rejected with this info: Your app's metadata contains content that is similar to third-party content, which may create a misleading association with another developer's app or intellectual property. Specifically, the app's description, name, and icons includes references to xxxxxx. Next Steps It would be appropriate to revise the app and metadata to remove this third-party content before resubmitting for review. If you have the necessary rights to distribute an app with this third-party content, attach documentary evidence in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect and reply to this message. ______ The App is built from MY Unity project, I have released the game on Steam, Itch, GOG and Switch over the years, but am now having to prove that this game is my own! I have supplied the termination agreement between myself and the original publisher, please help me get my game released!!!

If the AppStore fails to pass the review, please give a detailed and brief answer to the standard. I can clearly modify it here. In the returned png image, you can also specially mark which function point does not meet the requirements, so that I can make changes here, thank you!

Hello, we found something odd happening to at least 3 of our apps (we have 6 total) at App Store: in the statistics provided by App Store Connect we can see that somebody is downloading all the old versions of our app on their Desktop (another odd thing, our apps are intended for iOS, meaning iPad/iPhone, not MacOS desktops) Couple of questions: how is it even possible, to download an old version of somebody else's app? have you ever seen this with your or somebody else's apps? We have already contacted Apple Support, they said they will investigate it, but we have not heard anything back from them thanks!
