I'm encountering an issue with the age rating of my app in App Store Connect and would greatly appreciate your insights. Initially, when setting the age rating for my finance management app, I misunderstood the requirements and selected an age rating of +17 under the assumption that I had to choose either "Made for Kids" or "+17." Realizing that the content of my app is suitable for a broader audience, I am attempting to adjust the age rating to 4+. However, despite not selecting the "Made for Kids" or "Restrict to 17+" options, and intending to proceed with a 4+ rating, the changes don't seem to be registering. Clicking "Done" after modifying the age rating doesn't appear to have any effect. Here's a snapshot of the page where I'm stuck (see attached image). Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.

Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage To resolve this issue, it would be appropriate to take the following steps: If you are authorized to provide this service in the app, please provide evidence of your relationship with the institutions or organizations associated with the app. If you do not have authorization, the app needs to be published under a seller name and company name that reflects the app name. If you have developed this app on behalf of a client, you may resubmit the app through their account, if they have one. You may also request an update to the company name on your account by having the Account Holder edit the account information. Resources Learn how to transfer apps between accounts. Request a fee waiver for nonprofit organizations, accredited educational institutions, or government entities. Support Reply to this message in your preferred language if you need assistance. If you need additional support, use the Contact Us module. Consult with fellow developers and Apple engineers on the Apple Developer Forums. If you think your submission follows the guidelines or feel the review was unfair, you can request an appeal with the App Review Board. Help improve the review process or identify a need for clarity in our policies by suggesting guideline changes.

We have version 1.0 of our app which was published for a preorder. We recently pushed some updates, created a version 2.0, and it went through review and was accepted. Now we'd like to retire the version 1.0 and use the 2.0 for the preorder. Is it possible to keep the people who have already pre-ordered the app or do we have to throw version 1.0 and re-publish a new pre-order?

Hello, I'm new to iOS development and I'm trying to take some screenshots of my app to submit to the App Store. I'm running Ventura 13.0.1 and XCode 14.1. So far I've used these simulators to take screenshots: 6.5 inch - iPhone 11 Pro Max 6.7 inch - iPhone 14 Pro Max 12.9 inch - iPad Pro 6th gen What I'm stuck on is getting the 5.5 inch screenshots, which are required for App Store submission. As far as I can tell from some online searching, the latest iPhone with that screen size was the 8 Plus. I've installed the oldest iOS simulator that XCode has listed (iOS 13.7), but it still won't let me run a simulator for the iPhone 8 Plus to get those screenshots. I don't have the physical device to take screenshots on. Does anyone know how to get the 5.5 inch screenshots without having to manually resize them?

We are getting warnings from Apple, ITMS-91053 Missing API declaration, for categories Disk Space, Timestamp, and more. But we've checked our source code to make sure we are not making any of the entry points at issue. We suspect they are being called from one of the 3rd party frameworks we use, some of them are binary xcframeworks. Is Apple planning on extending their warnings to provide more information about where the usages are? Are we left to find it ourselves? Do we need to resort to adding those reasons to our app's manifest? Which seems hacking since we probably don't know when of the allowed reasons are accurate.

Hello Community! Has it ever happened to you that when launching an experiment with screenshots you have 0 impressions showed in the analytics, but on the other hand I am having visits to my official product page? For this last point I am checking the Metrics section.

We develop and publish apps as a non-profit organization and we absolutely make no money through these apps. Now can I choose the option "This is a non-trader provider account" in the complicance requirements? Does anyone have an idea?

Hi Team, Hope everyone is doing well. As we are working on Healthcare applications and we are close to launch our apps on Appstore for Public release. But we are not able to share a production test detail (userid and Password) due to security reasons .Is there any alternative way so apple can approve our apps without providing userid and password. Thanks, Vivek Nahar

Hello, hope all is well to whoever is reading this. I’m a new, self-taught developer posting this for some feedback and to see what my options are. I have an app on the App Store called RecipeRealm, which I have been attempting to submit an update for. My update uses the same metadata/binary and has a very similar design as the app that’s available on the App Store, I just made significant improvements and fixed/added other components for a recipe app. I've submitted several different update versions since it was initially approved, but they have all been rejected. This is how the rejection email always starts: "We still noticed your app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps previously submitted by a terminated Apple Developer Program account." I don't understand why my initial app was approved if this is the case, I am only updating the existing app so I’m not understanding why I’m getting this rejection now, upon trying to submit updates. I also have never had another Apple Developer Program account, and have never been terminated. I would really appreciate any insight that could be provided.

Whenever we submit a new release to the App Store we get a nag email from Apple that states, "The app binary listed below was 199.2 MB when you submitted it, but will be 223.9 MB once processed for the App Store. This exceeds the cellular network download size limit and may require your app to be downloaded over Wi-Fi." However, when I download the app from the App Store and have the Settings set to "Alway Ask" on my phone the alert shows 129 MB, which is matches up closely with what we see in the TestFlight metadata for all device types except "Universal". What is "Universal" device type in these days of thinning? And why is Apple apparently using that number to generate the nag email?

I am trying to release a beta version of an app for internal TestFlight testing but I keep getting a notification saying it has invalid binary. I have tried looking this up but I can't find anything that helps. Please help! If you need anything in addition to this, let me know. I just wasn't sure what to share.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I submitted an app for testflight review. It has failed multiple times with this: 2.1.0 Performance: App Completeness. The app makes REST calls of HTTPS and then XMPP communication; however, it is failing on the REST calls and never making it to the XMPP communication. Originally, I was on a non-standard port for HTTPS (as this was a test app) and thought maybe that was the problem...so I moved to port 443 and now have a standard URL in the form of https://<hostname.domain>/ without a port listed. If it is helpful, as a test app, the hostname DNS is via DuckDNS and using Letsencrypt for certificates. I have tested the URL via a VPN from various parts of the world and it works perfectly. However, when the App Reviewer tests, the screenshot provided back to me shows the app cannot connect and the server has no indication of a connection. It is as though a firewall is blocking the reviewer from connecting to the address of my server. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any ideas or suggestions?

About 24 hours ago, I got an email from Apple says my submission was accepted for release on the App Store. It can take up to 24 hours after release for items to become publicly available. However, the state is still "In review" when I log in to the App Store Connect page. Despite that in the app review section, it does say my app has been approved.

Hi everyone, My iOS application uses a third-party SDK. Its integration went very well, until I used Transporter to submit the app to the Apple servers. I got an error (Asset validation failed (90060)) regarding the CFBundleShortVersionString value. Indeed, this SDK uses 4 dot-separated digits in its plist file as its Bundle identifier. Knowing that their usage is not appropriate, I tried to edit the plist file, but the behaviour of the SDK totally changes and becomes unusable. Their contact team do not answer my requests, which made me think that maybe someone already got this kind of problem. Would anyone have an idea to resolve this issue? Best regards

Hi everyone, We can't submit a new build of our titles since Friday. The game is live in [some territories in] the appstore already, so this is just a new release. The button goes to a spinner for a short while, and then just goes back to being the blue "Add for Review" button. Any advice or guidance would be very much appreciated. Ref: Thanks in advance!

I am developing a time control app, that allows the employees of a company to register their work hours (entry, exit and interval times). After careful studies on wich distribution method to choose, we decided that an Unlisted App would be the best approach. We thought of distributing the app via Ad Hoc, but the security clearences needed to run it conlficts with some laws of my country, and any sort of MDM is out of the question, since the app is intended to be run o both users private or company owned devices alike. This way, having it on the App Store as unlisted would solve both theese problems, since it would facilitate distribution to the users, and still have some sort of privacy. Problem is, when I sent my app for revision, i received the following message: "We found in our review that your app is intended to be used by a specific business or organization, including partners, clients, or employees, but you've selected public distribution on the App Store in App Store Connect. Since the App Store is intended for apps with a public audience, we recommend reviewing the other distribution options available to you through your Apple Developer Program Account. " I would like to ask for some support on this, did my intentions have been misinterpreted, or should I look for another solution to distribute the app? For clarification, I have created a Unlisted App request, and then sent my app for revision.

I am trying to upload screenshots for our first build validation in the "Prepare for Submission" page, but the image disappears after I drag it in the uploader. When I refresh the page there is a gray placeholder with a cloud icon. When checking the console after dragging an image to the uploader, I can see a "Upload operations error" error and a "[UPLOAD FAIL]" error, but there's no additional info.
