I am submitting my app, which is related to events. I need to ask for DOB on my sign up page because there are some events that are 18+ or 21+, but apple keeps rejecting my app because I'm asking for a birthday. How do I get past this, doesn't every app ask for a birthday on sign up page to get an idea of who uses their app? Please help, thanks!

I have submitted my app twice, with specific documentation showcasing the termination of agreement of the original release of my game via a publisher two years ago. The original released was removed from the App Store over a year ago and the publishers App Dev account closed. I have now finally readied my game to be published by myself on the App store but keep getting rejected with this info: Your app's metadata contains content that is similar to third-party content, which may create a misleading association with another developer's app or intellectual property. Specifically, the app's description, name, and icons includes references to xxxxxx. Next Steps It would be appropriate to revise the app and metadata to remove this third-party content before resubmitting for review. If you have the necessary rights to distribute an app with this third-party content, attach documentary evidence in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect and reply to this message. ______ The App is built from MY Unity project, I have released the game on Steam, Itch, GOG and Switch over the years, but am now having to prove that this game is my own! I have supplied the termination agreement between myself and the original publisher, please help me get my game released!!!

Hello, we found something odd happening to at least 3 of our apps (we have 6 total) at App Store: in the statistics provided by App Store Connect we can see that somebody is downloading all the old versions of our app on their Desktop (another odd thing, our apps are intended for iOS, meaning iPad/iPhone, not MacOS desktops) Couple of questions: how is it even possible, to download an old version of somebody else's app? have you ever seen this with your or somebody else's apps? We have already contacted Apple Support, they said they will investigate it, but we have not heard anything back from them thanks!

I created a app titled "Tsundue" on app store. It was approved and was on apple app store. For first few day when i search the name it was easy to find. Then i was not able to find it , i contacted the apple help support but they assure me that the app was still in app store. I created more update and include many key words hoping it will work but to no avail. My friends in India say that they see it on App store, but here in US i can not. I can only find the app using develper name in search field but can not find it with the app name. Can anyone help me or give me guidance. Thanks in advance.

We have submitted a legal dispute 2,5 weeks ago for the App name we have a trademark for and is in use in the App Store. The business owning the name currently doesn't exsist anymore and the e-mail contact is also not reachable. There has been no update from Apple but with the company not exsisting anymore there shouldn't be an issue with us taking back the name without action from the current (not exsisting) owner right? Does anyone have an idea for how long we will need to wait for?

Hi I am recieving this mail when I upload an update of my iOS APP: ITMS-91053: Missing API declaration - Your app’s code in the “mi coche eléctrico” file references one or more APIs that require reasons, including the following API categories: NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults. While no action is required at this time, starting May 1, 2024, when you upload a new app or app update, you must include a NSPrivacyAccessedAPITypes array in your app’s privacy manifest to provide approved reasons for these APIs used by your app’s code. I have created the PrivacyInfo with this information (the requested in mail), but this mail is recieved even with this PrivacyInfo file in the upadatee app. Any idea what is wrong on it? Thanks in advance

I've been scratching my head on this one. Out of the blue, part of my 'synchronization' mechanism that copies 'favorites' from device to device has stopped working. A user can save a favorite location and it will propagate to all of their other devices, or repopulate after an uninstall and reinstall. My code in the space hasn't changed for months and I haven't made any schema changes to this type either. Last night I noticed the process wasn't working anymore. My CKQueryOperation result completion is returning this error: <CKError 0x2818a16b0: "Server Rejected Request" (15/2001); "Request failed with http status code 500"; uuid = 2CA523A6-8F39-4538-98AF-E9B7D6CACF73> What is telling to me is that the CloudKit Console also fails with an internal error when I try to query this type in MY private database for two different accounts. I can query another type in the private database but this one won't work for two of the Apple ID's I have tried. Also interesting, if I query this type in the PUBLIC database, even though this type is only saved to the private database, that operation succeeds just fine. I don't want to burn a DTS ticket for a server issue. FB13543186 - CloudKit: Receiving 500 when performing a query operation on the private database CloudKit status page is green on the developer site as of this morning.

On App Store there is the new request to declared if I am a trader operator or not under the new EU law. As many I'm a single developer so the declaration can be reduced to "any natural person [...] who is acting [...] for purposes relating to his or her trade, business, craft or profession.", to learn more Apple links to EU commission. I'm not 100% sure if, a single developer whit very small business and which use only Apple Store to distribute its apps, can declared "This is the account of a supplier who is not a trader". Is someone more legal expert than me able to replay?

My app got removed from sale due to some screenshots that wasn't in compliance with the guidelines. After it got removed an error has occurred, where I'm not able to add a new version to review. An I get an unexpected error. See screenshot below. Has been stuck on this for more than a week now. And neither the Developer Support or the App Review Team has been able to resolve the issue yet. I have talked to both by phone several times. Developer support has said it it up to the Review team to resolve. But the Review team has not found a solution yet. I suspect it might have to do with the Availability of the app. Ever since it got removed from sale every country has the status "Cannot Sell App". And I'm not able to make it available for any country. See screenshot below. But I can't be sure. Anyone else has experienced this issue and has been able to get it resolved? It's a bit urgent because the app is currently not on the App Store and this is my main app and main source of income.

Hey everyone, Starting two days ago, we've seen a problem regarding the text explaining our offer code's terms. We have: Auto-renewable subscription Subscription offer Offer code Custom offer code This issue pops up when you click on the custom offer code link. It used to display "50% off for the first year," but now it just shows "offerTerms." We can't seem to find a way to change this in App Store Connect, which leads us to believe it might be a glitch. Has anyone else encountered this? Any advice on how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated! Juno

I created a Bible app, and I am wondering if I am able to use In App Purchases to give users the opportunity to pay to sponsor a verse, within the app and their name would be be displayed in the app next to the verse they sponsored. Is that going against Apples Guidelines?

I'm writing to request assistance in updating the developer name displayed for my apps on the App Store. Currently, my full name appears instead of my LLC's name, which is unprofessional for my upcoming app promotion campaign. Here's the situation: I have established a Limited Liability Company (LLC) and possess a valid Employer Identification Number (EIN). I created two separate Apple Developer accounts: one as an individual and another as an organization (company). Despite enrolling as an organization and submitting my EIN, the App Store still displays my personal name. I understand the importance of displaying the correct legal entity for my apps. Could you please advise on the following: What steps can I take to ensure my LLC name is accurately reflected on the App Store? Is there any additional documentation required to verify my LLC (e.g., business license, certificate of formation)? Could there be a processing delay for EIN verification? I'm prepared to provide any necessary documentation to expedite this process. I'm also launching a significant promotional campaign for my app soon, and having my company name displayed is critical for professionalism. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Am tired of asking my boss to forward me the emails they get from Apple with the subject "The uploaded build for XXXX has one or more issues." I am trying to debug issues such as ITMS-91053: Missing API declaration as we deal with our 3rd party package usage. What permissions, privileges do I need to get those emails?

Multiple (not all) users are unable to install our Unlisted app on their iPhones. When they open the link, they get the following message: App store would like to install an app Instead of showing the app, it says "Something went wrong" Install app is greyed out See the attached image with the Dutch text. At least one user was on iOS 17.5 beta 1. I've been in contact with multiple iOS support centers but they don't seem to be able to help me.

Hi All tech gurus, This morning I got an error while uploading a new app on App Store that the app name is already taken and after that chaos started. Now any app that I try to upload I am getting an error. When I tried to create an app manually on App Store, it created but it does not show in my apps on App Store Connect . It creates the identifier and does not show me the app on app store connect. Also gives an error on xcode upload that SKU is already taken. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is major blocker for me.

Hi All! I'm being asked to migrate an app which utilizes iCloud KVS (Key Value Storage). This ability is a new-ish feature, and the documentation about this is sparse [1]. Honestly, the entire documentation about the new iCloud transfer functionality seems to be missing. Same with Game Center / GameKit. While the docs say that it should work, I'd like to understand the process in more detail. Has anyone migrated an iCloud KVS app? What happens after the transfer goes through, but before the first release? Do I need to do anything special? I see that the Entitlements file has the TeamID in the Key Value store - is that fine? <key>com.apple.developer.ubiquity-kvstore-identifier</key> <string>$(TeamIdentifierPrefix)$(CFBundleIdentifier)</string> Can someone please share their experience? Thank you! [1] https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/transfer-an-app/overview-of-app-transfer

Assume a user downloads a paid app sold via the App store and the purchase is approved by Apple, but the developer then detects that the customer performs some fraudulent activity and needs to block them. Is there a way that the developer can inform Apple so Apple also blocks the Apple subscription? If not, what happens if the customer complains to Apple about paying Apple even though the developer have blocked the customer from the service of the app?

We were still unable to review your app as it crashed on launch. We have attached detailed crash logs to help troubleshoot this issue. While we appreciate that your app is intended primarily for use on iPhone, in order to bring your app into compliance with App Store guidelines, all apps designed for use on iPhone must still be formatted correctly and behave properly when run on iPad. Review device details: Device type: iPad OS version: iOS 17.2 crashlog-82A3D8C6-0136-4C68-A006-6A4AE49B1D1C.txt crashlog-DBA3D1B0-5760-4B47-8FE7-DE44C570271A.txt crashlog-C30814D5-13BC-40FE-92EC-89E736FA7F1B.txt my app crashed only on iPad mini 6th generation its run fine on all other iPad's

We are using AFnetworking in our code base - this framework is build from source code and we not using any binaries provided by AFNetworking team. We have also modify the open source code, so that it is different from the original open source code in a way so that it won't lead to runtime conflicts in case the customers is including similar frameworks in their application. We're using those derivatives of the open source frameworks as a statically linked libraries to our SDK. Now as announce by the AFNetworking Team the SDK is now deprecated -“ As of Jan. 17, 2023, AFNetworking is deprecated and there will be no further releases. This repo will remain online in perpetuity as an archive. There are a couple options for continued AFNetworking use: Copy AFNetworking into your project and compile it directly. This gives you full control over the code. Fork AFNetworking and use the fork in your dependency manager. There will be no official forks but anyone can fork at any time and can even publish those forks under a different name, in accordance with AFNetworking's license. Moving forward, Alamofire is the suggested migration path for networking in modern Swift.  Since major part of our code base extensively use objective C we are reluctant to migrate at the moment. Query for the Apple support team - As AFNetworking announcement clearly states the SDK can still be used and repo will remain available as an archive - If we continue to use forked version of AFNetworking in the way stated above , in our code base will it have any impact on App Submission for the APP store.
